What's New at USAHR? * * * University of California Davis has just announced that through US Arabian Horse Registry contract with them that the Equine Red Factor and Agouti tests (as one informative test) for a single horse fee of $50. Multiple tests lower the cost and are available by contacting US Arabian Horse Registry. The Red Factor rest determines if a horse is homozygous for black pigment and if the horses with diluted colors have the black pigment gene. The Agouti test determines if a really dark horse is actually bay or black AND determines if a chestnut horse could produce basic bay vs black foal if bred to a black pigmented horse. The Cream dilution and Lethal White Overo tests are also available thru US Arabian Horse Registry. These tests need to be ordered with the above tests and can be done at a cost of an additional $25 each. * * * We are accepting applications for transfers and registrations. Want to save on this years registrations? Transfer your breeding stock now! * * * The true test of an Arabian horse is its type, conformation, trainability, versatility and love for people. Horses admitted for registration will meet accepted world standards for DNA testing and parentage verification and will be applied to all people and horses equally. US Arabian Horse Registry stands for the unification of the purebred Arabian horse, preservation, perpetuity, and purity of the purebred Arabian horse The Arabian breed must be unified. It is past time, even while there are still some controversies existing over a particular pedigree, to nulify the forces who are seeking to divide and change our great breed from its original standard. Arabian Horse Fair/US Arabian Horse Registry will set and maintain these standards, with no deviation. These standards will be set by the tradition of the Arabian horse and will be enforced in show standards and awards for all Arabian horses, whether in ranch work, recreational riding, whatever venue the Arabian horse is participating and include all owners and breeders. US Arabian Horse Registry supports those people interested in the breeding of and preserving certain bloodlines and breeding groups; thus, our database will contain as much information as possible about the heritage of various breeding groups accessible by query (questions thru the database Arabiansearch).
