The
Easy Steps to Complete A Registration Application REGISTRATION APPLICATIONS are available here, or they can be mailed to you from our office for a modest charge. Once US Arabian Horse Registry has received your completed application and registration fee, you will receive a DNA kit. Click here for handy hints. Need more information? Please note, if any of the information on the application is left blank it may delay the registration process. Please exercise care when completing your application, as incorrect information can result in rejection or cancellation of the registration. Please use dark ink or type information on all forms. When all registration requirements have been met, you will receive your Certificate of Registration. $15 Registration? Horse already DNA Tested? Please See: Registration Special. NEED HELP WITH THE NAMING OF YOUR FOAL? Enter two name choices. If your first choice has been taken, we will use your second choice. If the second choice has been taken, we will use the third or fourth choice. Names can be no longer than 27 characters (including spaces). No punctuation is allowed, with the exception of apostrophes (') and hyphens (-). An apostrophe or hyphen will be counted as a space. There can be no more than four parts to the name. For instance, "MY WON-DER BOY MK" would not be an acceptable name, because it is made up of five parts. COLOR OF YOUR FOAL? There are hints here. If you check the box labeled "Roan", please include photos with your application. Need help on describing and drawing FACIAL AND BODY MARKINGS, including whorls. LEG MARKINGS INCLUDING chestnuts and those hoof descriptions? BREEDER'S CERTIFICATE SECTION. If the recorded owner of the dam at the time of foaling has placed an authorized signer on file with the Registry, this authorized signer is also allowed to sign here. If you are purchasing this foal from the dam owner/lessee, you do not sign in this section. Only the dam owner/lessee or authorized agent is an acceptable signature. FOR IMPORTED HORSES, the registration fee is determined by the time elapsed between the date of possession and the postmark date when the application is mailed to us. The date of possession is considered to be the date released from quarantine. If the horse was not under quarantine, the import date will be considered the date of possession. MORE HELPFUL INFORMATION A STALLION COVERING CERTIFICATE is needed for imported and exported Transported-stored Semen breeding, and for mares to be exported in foal and for embryo/oocyte tranfer. If you purchased a foal was sold to you but never registered, you need a registration application, click here and transfer of ownership form, click here.Was your foal the result of an embryo/oocyte transfer? If YOUR HORSE HAS BEEN CASTRATED/SPAYED Please complete the castration/spay form and return it with the Certificate of Registration to US Arabian Horse Registry. We will issue a new Certificate of Registration, which will show the horse as a gelding or spayed mare. Click here for the castration/spay form. There is no charge for this service. TO REPORT A DEATH Please send a signed statement including the horse's name, registration number, date of death and the signature of the recorded owner. There is no need to return the Certificate of Registration. IF I MISSED ON THE COLOR, like now the horse is becoming a grey, how do I change the registered color? If your horse's color has changed since registration, you can request a color change by completing a Color and Markings Change form and mailing this to the Registry, along with the original Certificate of Registration and photos of all four views of your horse. Please be sure the photos clearly identify all white markings (or pink skin on a grey horse). For better photos, please stand the horse on a hard, flat surface with clean hooves. There is no charge for this service. HOW DO I OBTAIN A DUPLICATE/REPLACEMENT CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRATION? When an original Certificate of Registration is lost, a duplicate certificate can be obtained by the recorded owner. A Duplicate Certificate Request and Affidavit form must be completed and signed (notarized) by the recorded owner and returned to the Registry, along with the required fee. A replacement certificate uses the same form. IF A HORSE HAS BEEN SOLD and a transfer of ownership is to be completed, a bill of sale signed by the recorded owner(s) must be provided along with the duplicate request. The bill of sale must include the date of sale, the registered name of the horse, and the name and address of the buyer. EXPORTING A HORSE OR SEMEN? US Arabian Horse Registry collects all information and transmits to the registry of the foreign county. Export Handy Check List. YOU HAVE AN ADDRESS CHANGE. If your address has changed, please call us at 505-861-0125, email us, submit a U.S. Postal mail address change form and forward, or write to us with your new address information. WANT TO HAVE A VOTING MEMBERSHIP? Click here. YOUR NAME HAS CHANGED If your name has changed due to marriage, divorce or a legal name change, please provide a written request to update our records. If you would like a new Certificate of Registration printed to reflect your new name, please return the original certificate, along with a $5.00 replacement fee.
